Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! Thanks for making it all the way to my page. I'm truly excited and honored that you are visiting.

If there's one thing I hope you take away from reading my profile, it's this: I don't think you need to be fixed.

Therapy is a place to get curious about what's keeping you stuck and to experiment with what might help. Together, we might try new ways to communicate, practice setting boundaries, respond differently to difficult emotions, or make more space for self-compassion. We'll figure out what fits and what doesn't.

  1. I also believe therapy can hold space for both the hard things and the hopeful ones. There will be room for grief, fear, and uncertainty, but also for humor, relief, and joy.

My approach to therapy

I think of myself as a gentle challenger.

I'm interested in becoming curious with you.

We'll explore the patterns that helped you survive, ask whether they're still serving you, and experiment with new ways of responding when they're not.

My work is influenced by DBT and RO DBT, so I naturally think in both/and language. Life is rarely either/or. You can be doing the best you can while also wanting something different. You can accept yourself and still grow.

I don't think therapy is about becoming a different person. I think it's about creating enough space to become more fully yourself.

What you can expect from me

Mostly a conversation! We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, what's been weighing on you lately, and what you're hoping might feel different down the road.

The first session is also your chance to get to know me. I want you to leave with a sense of what it would be like to work together and whether it feels like a good fit. It's important to find the right therapist for you.
