Great to meet you!

Are you tired of feeling tired? Maybe you’ve lost motivation, your mind won’t slow down, or sleep has become difficult. You may feel anxious, overwhelmed, easily irritated, notice your moods changing quickly, or find yourself crying and not quite understanding why. Perhaps you’re having trouble focusing or feel like your mind is constantly crowded with thoughts.

I’m Belynda Umeh, DNP, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide compassionate psychiatric care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported as we work toward helping you feel more like yourself again.

My approach to therapy

I believe good psychiatric care begins with listening. I take time to understand what you’re experiencing, how your symptoms are affecting your daily life, and what you hope will change. Together, we’ll develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management and supportive therapeutic interventions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel comfortable, respected, and involved in your care.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for me to truly understand what has been happening in your life. We’ll talk about your symptoms, concerns, health history, and treatment goals in a supportive, judgment-free environment. I’ll answer your questions, discuss treatment options with you, and together we’ll decide on the next steps that best fit your needs.
