I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with with individuals and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, sex addiction, low self-esteem, family and relationship concerns, special needs, and LGBTQ+ issues. I also meet with those interested in living better – feeling more energetic, restoring creativity, and growing professionally. I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness from New York University and am currently a Clinical Fellow at Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy.
I take a collaborative approach to therapy that centers on helping you understand your experience in the “here and now” and getting in touch with your feelings. My therapeutic style is patient, warm, supportive, and empowering, and draws from Gestalt Therapy and Mindfulness techniques. I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable sharing anything on your mind while processing your emotions. My aim is to work together to gain awareness, make choices, and activate those choices to help you overcome your challenges.
The first session is really an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore what's bringing you in. We'll talk about what's been going on, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and begin to get a sense of how we might work together moving forward.
