Dr. Benjamin Glueck

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and the founder of Sheridan Psychology Group PLLC. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Hofstra University and I have dedicated my career to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and adults.

I am also an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a position I have held since 2021, and was a Supervising Psychologist at Montefiore Einstein Psychiatry Associates, Montefiore Medical Center's Faculty Practice.

My approach to therapy is built on a simple belief: meaningful change happens when you feel genuinely understood and supported, not judged. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, or trauma, I'm here to help you develop real, practical tools that work in your actual life. I specialize in evidence-based treatments like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)—approaches with strong research backing. I'm intensively trained in DBT across the lifespan and have been a member of several DBT Teams and certified in PCIT.

In our first session, we'll focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to treatment. I'll ask about your background, current challenges, and what you're hoping to accomplish through therapy. Together, we'll discuss your treatment needs and develop a collaborative plan for how we can best support you moving forward. This session is primarily about listening, learning, and building a foundation for our work together.
