Great to meet you!

Hi there! I’m Ben, a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in helping adults struggling with insomnia and persistent sleep difficulties. If sleep has become something you dread, you may find yourself stuck in a cycle of trying harder to sleep and end up feeling even worse. All the effort in the world can just lead to awake at night and calculating how much sleep you could get. No one deserves to have sleep play such a central role in their life. That is why I was trained to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). So I can help you find that great sleep.

My approach to therapy

Everyone has an innate drive toward growth and healing. Stress, pressure, difficult experiences, mental health concerns, and sleep problems can disconnect us from that drive. I believe we reconnect through a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, transparency, empathy, and curiosity. I bring expertise in CBT, CBT-I, sleep, behavior, and emotional patterns, but you remain the expert on your own life. We work together to understand what is getting in the way and decide which direction makes the most sense for you.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a relaxed, collaborative atmosphere focused on what brought you to therapy and how I can best help. I want to understand who you are—not only your history, insomnia, sleep difficulties, or other concerns, but also your strengths, passions, values, and goals. Think of me as a navigator and you as the captain. I will bring recommendations, knowledge about CBT-I and sleep, and help identify barriers, while we work together to create a path toward better sleep and a more fulfilling life.
