Great to meet you!

I work with women of color who are tired of always being the strong one. If you’re carrying old wounds that still feel fresh, stuck in patterns that don’t even feel like yours, or wondering when it’s finally your turn to be cared for; I’m here for that. You won’t have to code-switch with me. Let’s set down the masks you wear just to move through the day.

In this space, you get to be fully seen--the soft parts, the angry parts, the parts you’ve hidden just to keep the peace. All of you is welcome here. Together, we’ll make room for the messy, the painful, and the hopeful parts of your story, at a pace that feels right for you. Healing doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to start with a space where you’re safe to be real.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me feels like sitting down with someone who really sees you--the version of you behind the strong face you wear for everyone else. For the past 15 years, I’ve walked alongside women of color through some of life’s hardest and most beautiful moments--helping them carry what’s felt too heavy for too long, untangle the quiet hurts that still live in their bodies, and remember what it’s like to choose themselves without guilt.

I’m trained in Somatic interventions, TF-CBT, and other trauma-informed approaches, but what matters most is creating a space where you don’t have to explain or shrink any part of who you are. Together, we’ll listen to what your body has been trying to say, make sense of the patterns you’re ready to break, and find small, meaningful ways to make life feel lighter again.

We’ll go at your pace; there’s no rush here. Whether you’re showing up tired, angry, grieving, or hopeful, all parts of you are welcome. I especially hold space for eldest daughters from immigrant families--those who grew up fast, carried adult burdens too soon, and are still learning how to put themselves first without guilt.

My work centers specifically on women of color who are healing from childhood wounds and generational traumas; who are finally ready to take up space and begin living for themselves.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to leave our sessions feeling a little less alone and a little more connected to yourself. Sometimes that looks like having new tools to help calm your body and mind; other times it’s simply knowing that, for one hour, you didn’t have to carry everything by yourself.

We’ll celebrate small wins and gently explore the harder moments without judgment. Over time, you’ll start to recognize the patterns you’re ready to let go of and feel more confident setting boundaries that honor your needs. Most importantly, you’ll begin to believe that you deserve rest, care, and joy, not just survival.
