Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Bernadette Gurney, a Spanish bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology from Mount St. Mary’s University and my Master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with unaccompanied minors in shelters, families in the DCFS system, and children, adolescents, and families who have experienced deep, painful trauma. I’ve received training in Trauma-Focused CBT, CBT, Play Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and working with diverse cultures and cultural identities. My focus is on helping you work through your challenges and traumas in a collaborative, empathetic, and non-judgmental way. I'm here to walk with you through the healing.

My approach to therapy

I feel like I am eclectic, but I specialize in childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, and mindfulness, and I truly believe in the power of compassion and patience in my work. My clients often appreciate the supportive and positive energy I bring, and I'm proud to support clients to reach their highest potential.
