Bernadette Ranieri

Throughout most of my career, I worked as an ER trauma nurse. However, I made the decision to transition to a psychiatric mental health practitioner role after observing the mistreatment of people with mental health and addiction issues. I have now been a nurse practitioner for 3 years, having graduated from Nova Southeast University. My experience includes working in acute inpatient and outpatient clinics, with adolescents, and in intensive outpatient therapy settings.

My approach is to understand emotions, gather information, explain diagnosis, treatment options, and prevention. Involve client in decision making.

Goals normally include feeling of being heard, acknowledged; improve and enhance quality of life.
