Great to meet you!

My name is Bernadette Rivero and I am a first generation American born to two immigrant parents. I find fulfillment in helping others navigate multicultural identities and breaking intergenerational patterns. I would love to support you in your exploration and healing. I wholeheartedly acknowledge that working on our mental health is a luxury and a privilege that is not afforded to everyone

My approach to therapy

It can be exhausting to feel like you have to be “fine” while holding trauma, unspoken pressures, or emotions that are hard to talk about, especially when culture or the first-generation experience shapes that silence. Many people learn to push through quietly even when they feel stuck, disconnected, or emotionally exhausted. Therapy can be a space where you don’t have to hold everything alone. In a safe, culturally attuned, judgment-free space, we’ll unpack what’s been hard to say, process past experiences, and build practical coping skills to regulate mood, strengthen relationships, and help you reconnect with your authentic self.

What you can expect from me

I use an intersectional approach to explore the impacts of identity, family, and environment. I commit to being attuned to my clients’ needs, fostering trust, and maintaining a culturally respectful and validating approach. My work is driven by the belief that, with the right support, individuals can find the strength within themselves to heal and thrive.
