Great to meet you!

Hi,

I am so grateful that you have chosen to allow me to assist you on your counseling journey. I have been in the counseling field for a little over 14 years. My diverse professional experience includes of Mobile Crisis, outpatient services for mental health and substance abuse, inpatient substance abuse, substance use detox, domestic violence, and methadone maintenance treatment. I specialize in treating substance use, anxiety, trauma, and I have experience in many more areas of concern.

My approach to therapy

I have a style that is very warm and encouraging. I view therapy as you being in the driver seat and I am in the passenger seat helping to navigate the session. You determine how fast/slow we go or if we need to stop for a bit in one place for you to catch your breath or breathe. Therapy is the start of a new life, which can require hard work at times. I want to be your cheerleader who encourages as you make brave life changing decisions (baby steps, huge leaps, or somewhere in between).

What you can expect from me

I am skills based and would love the opportunity to teach you ways to manage your symptoms better. I will help you build your toolbox to have various tools to utilize.
