Beth Donath

My name is Beth Donath. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York. I received my Master's Degree from Fordham University- 1990.

I have experience working with teenagers and adults in a variety of settings.

The most recent experience I have is working with the School Based Support Team for the NYC Dept of Education. My role is centered around conducting assessments for teenagers whom will be evaluated for Special Education Services as well as providing At Risk Counseling.

I describe my counseling style as supportive and empathetic. I approach counseling through a client centered approach. I believe in meeting clients at the point where they feel most comfortable. Modalities I like work with are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy and Psychotherapy.

I like to set up a safe space where a client feels they can share there feelings. I try to provide a comforting and warm environment in which the client feels utmost respect and a sensitivity to how he/she is feeling.
