Great to meet you!

My name is Beth Dwyer, LPC, I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of New Jersey. I have over 20 plus years of experience in working with various demographics in crisis, including trauma, family issues, behavioral issues, and substance use as well as struggling with various life challenges and changes. I also specialize in managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and attentional issues.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic lens is person centered and my approach to working with clients is warm and personal. My clients are the experts in their lives and I assist with guidance in making interpersonal changes and healing. Taking the first step in seeking help is courageous, and I am here to assist you on that journey of healing and working towards change. I look forward to working with you!

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and collaborative space where they feel heard and respected. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brought you to therapy, and identifying the concerns you’d like support with.

I take a person-centered approach, meaning I tailor therapy to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past, and get a sense of whether my style feels like a good fit.

I recognize that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to take that first step. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate environment where you feel supported as we begin working together toward greater self-understanding, improved relationships, and meaningful strategies to enhance your overall well-being.
