Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Doctor of Health Science (DHSc), and Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC) with extensive experience working with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use and recovery, grief, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I have specialized training in trauma-informed care and understand how past experiences can continue to influence the way we think, feel, and respond today. I bring a warm, down-to-earth approach to therapy and strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment.

My approach to therapy

believe therapy should be individualized because no two people or life experiences are the same. My approach is trauma-informed, supportive, practical, and collaborative. I draw from CBT and other evidence-based approaches while helping clients understand patterns, recognize triggers, challenge negative beliefs, strengthen self-esteem, and develop healthier ways of coping. I am an active therapist who will listen and support you, but I will also provide feedback, ask questions, and help you look at situations from different perspectives. We work together at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful to you

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know each other and giving you an opportunity to share what brought you to therapy and what you would like to change. You do not have to tell your entire story in the first meeting. We will talk about your current concerns, important parts of your history, your strengths, and what you hope to gain from therapy. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, comfortable, and with a clearer sense of how we can work together moving forward.
