Great to meet you!

Welcome to my practice. My name is Beth. I am an LCSW / Mental Health Therapist. I am also a certified Meditation Psychotherapist.

I received my education and trainings through SUNY Stony Brook, Pratt Institute and the CHA in affiliation with Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry. I also have additional trainings through SUNY Albany and John Hopkins University School of Public Health.

Im a very flexible and understanding clinician. As the therapeutic alignment begins to take place, I would also like my clients to be flexible with me and my schedule. Family comes first to me and I sometimes have to make adjustments according to family scheduling. However, I’m very responsive and attentive to messages I receive and I always try to accommodate my clients and their needs to the best of my ability.please always expect a window of time via Telehealth or in office to be patient for your appointment. Your appointment is scheduled at a specific time, but may not start exactly at that time. Please allow yourself some time for your personal appointments.

I have an office in upstate New York for my private practice, where I conduct office sessionsTeleHealth sessions. I also at times work from home via Telehealth. All settings are private and confidential, and HIPAA compliant.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I approach therapy with a nonjudgmental and open thought process towards each client I meet and begin a therapeutic journey with.

I have a variety of specializations and experiences throughout my 17 years of practice. Areas Include: Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Sleep, Substance Use, ADHD, Relationships, Attachments, Dependency, Major Life Transitions, Self-Esteem, Personality Disorders, & Forensic Pathology.

I also evaluate emotional support animals as a part of treatment for clients and provide emotional support pet therapy letters.

I can be casual in my approach but also serious. What we will develop is called a therapeutic relationship. As a professional licensed mental health clinician for over 17 years I have a wide variety of experience that helps me understand a good balance with each one of my clients I treat. I will set limitations and boundaries with you. But I expect you to be completely 100% transparent and yourself. That would be able to best help me help you.

What you can expect from our first session

My clients can expect to enter into the therapeutic process safely. I accept clients with a nonjudgmental approach and mentality. I create a comfortable and open environment.I conduct in person office sessions and/or Telehealth via video or phone.

I initially conduct a psychosocial assessment, I may conduct some additional depression/anxiety, trauma, attachment, or other symptom screenings Together we formulate goals and next steps and treatment. I am very personable and enjoy getting to know each person I treat.

I treat individuals and couples. I use a variety of treatment methods, modalities and evidence based approaches.

I am 100% transparent. I expect transparency as the therapeutic relationship grows from each client a treat.

There is no cure for mental health. Mental health is a journey of understanding, acceptance, self-care, personal mastery and maintenance. As human beings, we all struggle and suffer from time to time. There’s nothing wrong with seeking help. It’s attending to your own personal medical care in doing so. What you may get out of therapy is what you put into it. I am here to help you through your journey and guide you with the choices, expressions, and actions you take. I will provide guidance and feedback, psychoeducation, and implement practices in which are best known to be effective for your symptoms and mental health diagnostics. I may challenge you in your thoughts. I’m may validate your feelings. But ultimately at the end of the day, your treatment outcome is in your hands.
