Great to meet you!

Hello, and I’m glad you’re here. Whether this is your first experience with therapy or you’ve been in therapy before, reaching out can be a big step. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable being yourself and talking openly about what’s going on.

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 20 years of experience providing therapy and leading clinical teams. My background includes community mental health, residential mental health and substance use treatment, and crisis services. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with adults, children, adolescents, and families navigating a wide range of concerns and life experiences.

I have advanced training and experience supporting people with trauma, anxiety and depression, substance use, grief and loss, and the unique challenges faced by children and adolescents. I believe therapy should be collaborative and tailored to you—not a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we’ll identify what you want to work on, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to help you move toward the life you want.

My approach to therapy

Even when life feels overwhelming, there are often possibilities and solutions that can be difficult to see clearly on your own. You have those solutions within you, and therapy can provide a supportive space to step back, gain perspective, and have someone alongside you as you navigate life’s ups and downs.

I see myself as a gentle guide rather than someone who tells you what you should do. Some people benefit from more direction and practical tools, while others need more space to process, reflect, and find their own path. I believe a good therapist recognizes what you need and adapts throughout the therapeutic process.

I use feedback-informed and solution-focused approaches to keep therapy centered on you, your priorities, and the changes you want to make—for yourself, your family, or a loved one. My goal is for our work together to feel purposeful and practical while giving you the space and support you need to make meaningful, lasting changes.

What you can expect from me

Your first therapy session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building the trust and connection that are so important to the therapeutic process. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to get from it, and what feels most important to you right now. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to ask questions about me, my approach, and what you can expect from therapy.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. My goal is to make your first session feel relaxed, welcoming, and comfortable while giving you the space to feel heard and understood.

Finding the right therapist is important, and our first session is an opportunity for both of us to see whether we’re a good fit. Most importantly, I want you to feel respected, supported, and safe as we begin working together. If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, I’d be glad to meet you.
