Family Issues, PTSD, and Trauma

Great to meet you!

I have a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy and am a Certified EMDR therapist with 25+ years of experience helping clients with such issues as: life transitions, parenting concerns, women’s issues, trauma/post-traumatic stress symptoms, adverse childhood/life experiences, grief/loss, stress, depression, anxiety, relationship issues and developing healthy relationships.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Life transitions can be harder than we expected. Maybe you are not handling life’s challenges as well as you had hoped. Maybe you are navigating these issues on top of a history of trauma or adverse childhood/life experiences. I provide a compassionate, down-to-earth and non-judgmental approach to help you feel comfortable, validated and gently challenged during the therapeutic process. Together, we will work to help you find a path forward and rediscover your sense of purpose.

What you can expect from our first session

It is important to find a counselor who is the right fit for you. Building a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship with a client can help reduce internal distress and initiate the healing process. I will help you learn new ways to handle stressors and to better access your natural coping mechanisms. I look forward to hearing from you.
