Great to meet you!
I am a therapist (LCSW) with extensive experience of over 25 years to include inpatient and outpatient, IOP psychiatric hospital-based setting with adults 18 and up. I have worked with children and families in other community based settings which has helped give me an understanding from the perspective of people within the full lifespan academically and experientially.
I graduated with a B.S. Master's in Social Work from Columbia University in 2001, which helped create a strong foundation and commitment to help and serve others.
You may have ways of thinking or behaving that that may no longer serve you or have consequences that effect you mentally, emotionally physically and even spiritually that you would like to change. Alternatively, you may want to find ways to cope with something or someone that you are struggling with. No matter what it is know that you are not alone. There is a path through it.
You may be experiencing stressors such as trauma, work, relationships, caregiving, parenting, family stress, divorce, grieving, addictions, life transitions and other issues. I will guide you to find ways to cope and manage symptoms. Some may be struggling with exacerbation of symptoms from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders as well as trauma/PTSD. All the while I will work with you to help you build a bridge of deeper understanding and knowledge towards the goals and person you’d like to be and already are.
I utilize a variety of modalities tailored to each individual such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT for PTSD), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing and other strength-based modalities.
I connect to each individual with a client centered approach that is a safe, warm and compassionate space for you to work towards your goals. I am looking forward to guiding you to help you on your journey of healing.
