Great to meet you!

My name is Bethany and I'm an artist and therapist who uses the creative process to support adults, children, and adolescents to better understand/express themselves and cope with life's challenges. My eleven years of experience includes work with people experiencing stress, anxiety, difficult emotions, relationship challenges, or trauma, and those who want to make positive changes in their life.

My approach to therapy

There is no one size fits all when it comes to therapy as everyone has different needs, strengths, and struggles. With clients, I tailor my approach to the individual I am working with. Typically this includes a combination of art making, creative writing, and talk therapy techniques from a trauma-informed and person-centered perspective.

What you can expect from me

Making changes in life can be daunting. Author Cynthia Ocelli described growth as a process embodying the duality of creation, "For a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out and everything changes. To someone who doesn’t understand growth, it would look like complete destruction." In my work with clients I strive to create a safe environment where the changes that are important to you can take root and grow.
