Great to meet you!

My passion is supporting persons in the therapeutic process. Many of my clients struggle with issues such as childhood emotional neglect, perfectionism, unrealistic expectations, attachment wounds, and as a result feel untethered from Self. Our work emphasizes the importance of understanding yourself and those around you; self-expression; and identifying and changing your patterns, thoughts and beliefs that no longer work for you. My approach includes holistic techniques and a client-centered method to reconnect with inner parts and promote healing and transformation. I facilitate you exploring your inner landscape to name and understand your attachment style, childhood and life experience and family dynamics that shape your thoughts, beliefs and actions. Together, we consider how you unconscious is driving your thoughts, actions and more. Your therapeutic exploration helps you individuate, maintain independence, develop insight and self-awareness as you change your thoughts, beliefs and actions that reflect the heald and integrated best Self as your are now.

My approach to therapy

My approach to psychotherapy is client centered and non-directive. My style is flexible and a customized response that is suited to the client's particular needs and circumstances. My theoretical approach is trauma informed, sex positive and based upon a combination of psychodynamic, feminist theory, relational-cultural theory, Internal Family Systems and more. My approach focuses on changing problematic behaviors, feelings, and thoughts by discovering your unconscious and conscious meanings and motivations. My clients learn about themselves by exploring their interactions in the therapeutic relationship.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an introduction to your world facilitated by your wants and needs in therapy as we build a plan for your treatment. I typically want to know about your family background and the folks involved in your day to day life. Any acute issues are important to bring into our first session without pressure to fix you then and there. Therapy is the place you learn to talk about and feel the things you don't want to. Our first session creates the container for you to embark on your inner journey to safety and freedom.
