Great to meet you!

I’m Bethany Nehring, ATR, LPC, the founder of HeartHues and a Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Art Therapy from Saint Mary‐of‐the‐Woods University. With 5 years professional experience.

I can guide children (ages 1–18) through life’s challenges—such as anxiety, depression, grief, attention, behavioral difficulties, and adjustment issues—I offer a compassionate, attachment-based approach that centers on empathy and creative expression. Art is a natural form of communication for children, allowing them to express emotions non‐verbally, build confidence, and explore the world within and around them.

At HeartHues, I guide children through art-making to help them define feelings, develop coping skills, and foster emotional resilience. Whether a child is navigating change, processing loss, or managing stress, art therapy offers a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore and heal — enhancing emotional regulation, self-esteem, and social development. I believe that through empathy, creativity, and connection, each child can grow to be a stronger and more self-aware version of themselves. Let's continue supporting your child's journey toward emotional wellness.
