Great to meet you!

Hi! I am passionate about integrative psychiatry, and in our work together we will examine the interplay between your unique mind (beliefs and values, impacts of life experiences on your worldview and behaviors), body (genes, gut, brain, metabolic and immune health), lifestyle (relationships, sleep, habits, nutrition, and exercise), and spirituality (sense of connection and belonging).

Professionally, I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, receiving my MSN from the University of California San Francisco in 2016. I worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs in San Francisco and Oakland for 5 years, before transitioning to private practice.

My approach to therapy

As someone interested in exploring alternative healing methods and accessing deeper layers of the psyche, such as through breathwork, meditation, somatic therapy, and spiritual practices, when the opportunity for a year-long fellowship through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute came to my attention, I jumped on it. This fellowship ended in June 2021, and I will continue in integrative psychiatry as a lifelong learner.

My mission is to bring an integrative approach to the pursuit of mental well-being, utilizing the wisdom of nature to balance body, mind, and spirit.

What you can expect from me

A comprehensive 90 minute initial assessment opens the doorway to fine-tuning your treatment. Treatment may include therapy, judicious use of psychiatric medications, nutraceuticals and supplements, diet changes, and mind-body practices. We will get creative with the use of tools at our disposal, and make referrals when indicated, to help you get you the relief you are seeking.

I aim to draw on my strengths and knowledge to offer you guidance and support to have a fulfilling life. I will work hard to get you feeling better, and I expect you to work hard for yourself, too. My approach is professional yet highly personable, and it involves a good dose of humor regarding the human condition.
