Great to meet you!

I believe therapy works best when it is grounded, compassionate, and practical. Many of the adults and couples I work with are high-achieving on the outside, but internally struggling with burnout, life transitions, or feeling disconnected in their relationships. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental, collaborative space where you feel truly heard and supported.

Professional Background & Education I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri with extensive experience supporting individuals and couples through complex life challenges. In addition to my clinical licensure, I am currently completing my Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in Traumatology, with an expected graduation in 2028. My advanced doctoral training deeply informs my approach, allowing me to bring evidence-based, highly practical strategies into our work together.

Who I Serve & Specialty Areas I work exclusively with adults and couples (ages 18+), offering both flexible telehealth sessions across Missouri and in-person appointments in Moberly. My core areas of focus include:

  • Adult Neurodivergence: Supporting adults navigating late-diagnosed Autism, ADHD, high-masking burnout, and executive dysfunction.
  • Life & Relationship Transitions: Helping individuals and partners navigate divorce recovery, separation, co-parenting challenges, and blended family dynamics.
  • Healing & Recovery: Providing trauma-informed care, support for individuals in recovery culture, and faith-informed Christian counseling.

Whether you are looking to unmask and understand your brain, rebuild connection in your relationship, or navigate a difficult major transition, I look forward to walking alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is warm, practical, and deeply collaborative. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all model of therapy because every person, brain, and relationship is unique. Instead, I tailor our sessions to fit your real-world needs, blending evidence-based techniques with an empathetic, conversational environment.

Core Pillars of My Practice:

  • Neurodiversity-Affirming & Strengths-Based: I do not view neurodivergence as something to "fix." If you are navigating ADHD or late-discovered Autism, we will focus on understanding your unique nervous system, accommodating executive functioning challenges, managing burnout, and stepping away from heavy masking.
  • Trauma-Informed & Grounded: Healing from past trauma, high-stress life transitions, or relationship loss takes time. I prioritize creating a safe, pacing-conscious space where you feel secure expressing your true thoughts without fear of judgment.
  • Faith-Informed Care: For clients who desire it, I offer space to integrate faith and Christian values into our work, honoring your spiritual foundation as a vital tool for healing and resilience.
  • Practical & Solutions-Oriented for Couples & Recovery: Whether we are addressing communication barriers, navigating blended family dynamics, working through divorce/separation, or walking through addiction recovery, I focus on actionable strategies that build trust, clarity, and sustainable peace in your everyday life.

Above all, I view therapy as a partnership. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide the tools, perspective, and support to help you move forward with confidence.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about creating a comfortable, low-pressure space where we can get to know each other. I know that starting therapy—or reaching out to a new counselor—can feel intimidating, so my priority is to help you feel at ease from the very beginning.

What Our First 50 Minutes Will Look Like:

  • A Warm, Unhurried Welcome: We will start with brief introductions and review any initial administrative questions or house rules so you feel completely clear on privacy, scheduling, and billing.
  • Exploring What Brought You In: We will discuss the main reasons you decided to reach out now—whether that is navigating adult neurodivergence, processing a recent divorce or separation, working through recovery milestones, or managing blended family dynamics.
  • Understanding Your Goals & Background: I’ll ask open-ended questions about your current daily life, strengths, past therapeutic experiences, and what success in therapy looks like for you. If faith integration is important to you, we can discuss how you'd like that included.
  • Collaborative Next Steps: Before we end, we will map out a gentle, personalized plan for our future sessions. You will leave with a clear sense of how we will work together and practical next steps toward your goals.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive. You are welcome to come as you are—unmasked, authentic, and at your own pace.
