Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Betsy. I am a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years experience in the field of trauma informed grief and loss which includes working with clients who have concerns surrounding depression and anxiety. I have a Masters in Social Work degree from Ohio State University. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

My approach to therapy

I have worked with individuals, couples, and groups promoting a healthy grief journey as well as healthy perceptions of self-image and strengthening core relationships for a more complete sense of self. I understand that life can be overwhelming at times and I am passionate about providing a safe space for people to process all of the feelings that life experiences can create. I believe in starting where the client is and then companioning them in developing a direction for their treatment. I practice unconditional positive regard. Judgement has no place in my practice.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session where we will get to know each other, get on the same page with where you are at with this journey, and work together towards formulating goals. The following sessions will be about healing and adopting tools that will help you complete those goals.
