Great to meet you!

Welcome. My name is Betsy, and my passion is supporting people dealing with life-changing loss. You may be grieving a death, navigating a major transition (divorce, job loss, etc.), contending with chronic illness or some other destabilizing concern. I also support people caring for ill/aging family members and those whose work involves providing professional care. If you feel heartbroken, scared, stuck, or trapped, or find the stress of your circumstances leading to anxiety, depression, relationship problems, existential/spiritual struggles, or burnout, I hope you will reach out to me. We can discover, together, a better way for you to move forward.

My approach to therapy

Counseling offers a space to step outside of usual routines and experiment with new ways of being. Since I began in 2016, my practice has centered careful listening, imagination, self-determination, and honoring of each person's identity and life story. My own broad life experience has given me a deep well of resources that I love to share ... let's find out what resonates with you.

What you can expect from me

My clients know that they matter to me. Once we decide to work together, I am committed to your goals and to co-creating a plan to help you move toward them. In our first session we'll typically discuss what events or circumstances have led you to seek support. We'll also attend to your strengths and how they may help you make the changes you are looking for. My hope is that our time together will reveal new ways of relating – to loss, to pain, to yourself, to our world – that offer solace and expand your sense of what is possible. If you'd like to take the next step, please reach out to schedule a phone consultation. I am excited to speak with you. (Please note that I currently offer telehealth sessions only.)
