Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Betsy. I bring both clinical expertise and genuine curiosity to every therapeutic relationship. My work is rooted in the belief that the path forward looks different for each person — and that the best therapy happens when we explore that path together.

I specialize in anxiety and depression, helping clients understand the patterns and underlying experiences that contribute to how they think, feel, and move through the world. To do that, I draw on a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and psychodynamic principles. This combination allows us to work on practical, present-day strategies while also making space to understand deeper emotional roots.

My style is collaborative and exploratory. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach — instead, I see my role as a partner in your process, helping you build awareness, develop tools, and find a greater sense of ease and agency in your life.

My background is a little unconventional. In addition to my Master's degree in counseling, I hold an MBA and am a certified yoga teacher — experiences that have shaped how I think about the whole person. The mind-body philosophy that runs through yoga practice naturally informs my therapeutic work, and my business background gives me a grounded, practical perspective that I bring into the room with clients.

If you're ready to take that first step, I'd love to connect.

My approach to therapy

I believe in a holistic approach to healing that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. Together, we'll explore a personalized path to well-being, using a combination of traditional counseling techniques, mindfulness practices, and self-care strategies to help you achieve lasting peace and balance in your life. If you're ready to create meaningful change, I’m here to guide you on that journey.

What you can expect from me

The first session is really about you. My primary focus is listening — creating a space where you feel safe to share what's brought you in, without judgment and without pressure. There's no agenda to rush through.

Together we'll begin to explore your history, talk through what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and I'll share how I work so you have a clear sense of what our time together might look like. Above all, I want you to feel genuinely heard from the very first conversation.

As for next steps — it depends on you. Some clients leave ready to dive in with something concrete to reflect on; others need that first hour simply to exhale. I take my cues from you.
