Great to meet you!
My name is Betsy Riccio and I am a licensed mental health clinician in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling. I attended Rhode Island College and the University of Rhode Island, where I developed a strong foundation in both communication and clinical practice.
Much of my professional experience has been in forensic mental health settings, working with individuals presenting with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and trauma-related disorders. I have worked with incarcerated individuals addressing anger management, stress related to legal involvement, substance use and behavioral addictions, personality disorders, and sex offense–related behaviors.
In addition to my forensic work, I have experience supporting adolescents involved with child protective services as well as older adults navigating the emotional and psychological challenges associated with aging. My work across these diverse populations has strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that meets individuals where they are in their healing process.
