Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 24 years of experience in education and more than a decade in counseling. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master’s in Education Counseling and Guidance from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (formerly UT Pan American).

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults, helping them navigate life’s challenges in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. My approach is warm and person-centered, integrating evidence-based therapies and creative techniques to help clients understand their emotions, build coping skills, and develop resilience. I am passionate about collaborating with clients to promote growth, healing, and positive change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered and supportive, combining evidence-based methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with creative techniques like play therapy, art, bibliotherapy, and sand tray therapy. This approach helps clients safely express emotions, strengthen coping skills, and foster healing and personal growth. For those who wish, I also provide Christian faith-based counseling to incorporate spiritual guidance into the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where they can openly share their thoughts and feelings. Together, we work on understanding emotions, building practical coping skills, and developing strategies to manage life’s challenges, with the goal that you leave each session feeling understood, supported, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges.
