Great to meet you!

I believe that all people should be treated with kindness, dignity and respect. No one should feel less than because of any issue they have. Counseling is a process of self discovery that sometimes needs compassionate guidance to help clients uncover their inner resources.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is that it is a collaborative relationship with the client, working together to find the best solutions to reach the client's goals. My approach to addictive disorders is with the assumption that it is a co-occurring disorder. Underlying issues need to be resolved in order to have success with long term sobriety. Recovery is an individual process. The goal of therapy is to bring positive and fulfilling things into one's life that are incompatible with addictive behaviors.

What you can expect from me

Through therapy clients will be able to better understand their issues in a greater context and understand that they are not alone and that there are viable solutions to their problems. This will enable them to live a healthier, more fulfilling life.
