Great to meet you!

Beverly K. McClerklin, a native of Queens, New York, has dedicated her career to helping people build stronger, healthier lives and relationships. She earned her graduate degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and her undergraduate degree in Social Work from South Carolina State University.

With years of experience working alongside individuals from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, Beverly brings compassion, understanding, and respect to every client she serves. Her areas of focus include men’s and women’s issues, as well as couples and marriage counseling.

Beverly’s approach is warm, collaborative, and empowering — she believes in creating a safe space where people feel heard, supported, and encouraged to grow. Whether guiding couples through challenges or helping individuals navigate personal struggles, Beverly is committed to fostering resilience, connection, and hope.

My approach to therapy

I believe that every person’s journey is unique, and I tailor treatment to meet each individual’s needs. Using a client-centered, collaborative approach, I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused techniques to help clients explore challenges and discover practical paths forward.

At the heart of my work is active listening and genuine validation of each person’s experiences. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where open communication is encouraged, and where clients feel empowered to identify and work toward positive changes in their lives. My goal is to walk alongside you, offering guidance and encouragement as you build resilience, strengthen relationships, and move toward greater well-being.

What you can expect from me

When you work with me, you can expect a safe and confidential space where your voice is heard and your experiences are validated. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts and feelings to gain deeper understanding and clarity. My goal is to help you develop practical coping strategies that fit your life, while fostering growth, resilience, and confidence.

I believe therapy should feel collaborative and empowering — a place where you feel supported, respected, and encouraged to move toward positive change.
