Great to meet you!

Welcome. I am glad you are here.

Seeking counseling can be a difficult first step, and my goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and respected. I believe that every person has strengths and the ability to grow, heal, and make positive changes, even during life's most challenging seasons.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with more than eight years of experience providing counseling services in a variety of settings, including community mental health, addiction recovery, crisis intervention, and private practice. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, substance use disorders, relationship concerns, life transitions, and stress related to work, family, and daily life.

My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you identify practical solutions while also exploring deeper emotions and experiences when needed. I tailor counseling to meet your unique needs and draw from a variety of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, trauma-informed care, solution-focused strategies, supportive counseling, and grief therapy.

Together, we will work to build on your strengths, develop healthy coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and help you move toward the goals that are most important to you. My hope is that you will find counseling to be a place where you feel supported, encouraged, and empowered throughout your journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is supportive, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable discussing your concerns and working toward your goals.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help patients develop healthier thoughts, behaviors, and coping skills. I also incorporate DBT skills, trauma-informed care, solution-focused therapy, supportive counseling, and grief therapy when appropriate. Together, we will focus on your strengths, build practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we will spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to counseling. I will ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, supports, and goals for treatment. This helps me better understand your unique situation and determine how I can best support you.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share any concerns you may have, and decide whether counseling feels like a good fit for your needs. Together, we will begin identifying goals and developing a plan to help you move toward positive change. My goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable, and supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and understood.
