Great to meet you!

I’m Beverly Regisford-Henry, Psy.D., M.S.Ed., LCSW, CAGCS, a licensed psychotherapist in both Florida and New York. I specialize in working with children, teens, young adults, and the families who support them.

I approach therapy with the understanding that children do not heal in isolation. With over 12 years of experience as a therapist and more than 20 years as an educator, I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise, educational insight, and genuine compassion to my work.

I have walked school hallways, partnered closely with parents, and supported families navigating real-life challenges. I understand the quieter struggles young people often carry—and I am deeply committed to helping them feel heard, understood, and empowered.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is creative, experiential, and relational, grounded in a psychodramatic framework. Therapy goes beyond conversation and may include expressive techniques, guided role-play, storytelling, and developmentally appropriate activities. This approach allows children, teens, and young adults to safely explore emotions, practice new skills, and build confidence in ways that feel engaging and meaningful.

What you can expect from me

You walk into your first session, not quite knowing what to expect. I can see the uneasiness. The hesitation. The quiet questions in your mind. “Will this help?” “Will I be judged?” “Do I really belong here?”

My role in that first session is simple: to put you at ease. To remind you that this is a safe space. That your story matters. That healing does not have to feel intimidating. Yes, therapy can be meaningful. And yes—therapy can even be fun.

In our first session, we will take time to get to know each other. We will talk about what brought you here, what you hope for, and what matters most to you. We will move at your pace. No pressure. No rushing. No expectations.

Above all, the first session is about building trust. It is about creating a space where you can breathe, reflect, and begin again. You do not need to have all the answers. You simply have to show up. I will meet you there!
