Great to meet you!

I believe that meaningful therapy begins with feeling safe, heard, and supported. My goal is to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where individuals and families can explore challenges, build on their strengths, and move toward positive change.

I hold both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Social Work and have over five years of experience working directly with children and families. My professional background includes supporting children and caregivers through emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns, while collaborating with families to strengthen communication, coping skills, and overall well-being.

In addition to my work with children and families, I also have several years of experience supporting older adults, including assisting individuals and families with long-term care planning. This work has given me a deep appreciation for the emotional, practical, and relational challenges that can arise during later life transitions, caregiving roles, and decision-making processes.

I am passionate about supporting clients across the lifespan and helping individuals and families navigate change with greater clarity, resilience, and connection.

My approach to therapy

My approach is strengths-based, person-centered, and family-focused, recognizing the importance of honoring each client’s lived experience, values, and goals. I strive to meet clients where they are and view therapy as a collaborative process grounded in empathy, respect, and empowerment.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we will focus on getting to know one another and understanding what brings you to therapy. This is a time for you to share your concerns, goals, and any challenges you or your family may be experiencing. I will ask questions about your current situation, relevant history, and what you hope to gain from therapy, while also allowing space for anything you feel is important to discuss.

We will review important information such as confidentiality, informed consent, and the structure of therapy to ensure you feel comfortable and informed. Together, we will begin identifying goals and discussing how therapy can best support your needs.

My approach in the first session is collaborative, supportive, and client-centered. There is no pressure to share more than you are ready to, and sessions move at a pace that feels appropriate for you. Whether I am working with children, families, or older adults, I strive to create a safe, respectful environment where clients feel heard and supported.

By the end of the first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the therapeutic process, next steps, and how we may work together moving forward.
