Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and am also a student at Our Lady of the Lake, currently working on my PsyD in Counseling Psychology. I’m a warm, collaborative therapist who believes people thrive when they feel truly seen and supported. My work is grounded in a strengths-based and culturally responsive lens. I work with children, teens, and young adults, and I also support couples and families navigating communication challenges, life transitions, identity, and relational patterns.

I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents, and I value creating a therapeutic space that feels safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate. I collaborate closely with caregivers when helpful, while always honoring the child’s voice and emotional experience. Growing up in a Latina household that valued emotional expression shaped the way I show up as a clinician. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel understood, empowered, and supported at every stage of life.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as a collaborative partnership. You are the expert on your experiences, and my role is to support you in exploring them with curiosity and compassion. When working with children and adolescents, I tailor my approach to meet their developmental needs, using age-appropriate strategies to support emotional awareness, regulation, and expression.

I take a strengths-based, systems-oriented approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapy. I pay close attention to the impact of culture, identity, family dynamics, and lived experience, and I strive to create a space where all parts of you are welcome. My approach is gentle but goal directed, offering structure and guidance while respecting each client’s pace and readiness for change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a time to build connection and understanding. For adults and teens, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, your goals for therapy, and what you hope will feel different. When working with children, the session may include both the child and caregiver, allowing me to learn more about the child’s strengths, needs, and environment while helping everyone feel comfortable and supported.

I approach the first session with warmth and flexibility, moving at a pace that feels right for you or your child. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear plan, showing up is enough. By the end of the session, we’ll collaborate on next steps and begin creating a path forward that feels thoughtful, supportive, and aligned with your goals.
