Great to meet you!

I believe that therapy should be a place where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. Before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, I spent several years on a journey to improve my own mental health recovering from panic disorder and general anxiety. I feel my experience gave me a strong foundation for understanding the challenges my clients face. Prior to starting a private practice, I also worked in an inpatient substance abuse treatment program, where I gained experience helping individuals through difficult life transitions and emotional struggles.

My approach to therapy

I hold master's degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling and have advanced training in Trauma- Informed Care, Addiction Treatment and Play Therapy. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, life transitions, trauma, and substance use concerns. My goal is to help clients build practical skills, increase resilience, and create lasting positive change while providing a supportive environment where they feel comfortable being themselves.

What you can expect from me

My approach is collaborative, practical, and strengths-based. I believe every client already possesses many of the qualities needed for growth, and therapy helps uncover and strengthen those abilities. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Positive Psychology to help clients recognize unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build confidence. Depending on each person's needs, I also incorporate Solution-Focused techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Play Therapy interventions when appropriate.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I work with clients to understand the whole person. Together we identify meaningful goals, develop practical tools they can use between sessions, and celebrate progress along the way. My style is warm, encouraging, and goal-oriented while still allowing space to process difficult emotions at a comfortable pace.
