Great to meet you!

Life can look manageable from the outside while anxiety, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, or major changes leave you feeling stuck underneath. I work with adults and older adolescents ages 16 and above, including people who tend to keep their emotions inside and handle problems on their own.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and in psychology. My style is straightforward, thoughtful, and empathetic. I offer a space where you can speak honestly, better understand the patterns affecting you, and take practical steps toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, respected, and actively involved. We will work as partners to understand what is happening, clarify what you want to change, and identify steps that fit your life.

My approach is person-centered and draws from solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and nervous-system-informed strategies. Depending on your needs, we may explore the connections among your thoughts, emotions, physical reactions, past experiences, and relationships. I listen carefully, ask direct questions, and offer observations that may help you see things from a different perspective. The goal is not only to feel better in the moment, but also to develop lasting understanding and useful ways of moving forward.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and determine whether I am a good fit for what you need. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been affecting you, and what you hope will be different.

You do not need to have everything figured out. I will ask questions to better understand your situation, but you will not be expected to discuss anything before you are ready. By the end of the session, we will usually have identified your primary concerns, some initial goals, and a starting point for our work. You will also have time to ask questions and get a sense of what working together would be like.
