Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-supervisor with over 36 years of counseling experience. I received my bachelor's and master's degrees from Texas Tech University, and I have worked in treatment centers and psychiatric facilities addressing substance use and mental health concerns. I have worked with people suffering from ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Grief issues, Substance Use Disorder, Process Addictions, and Trauma issues.

My approach to therapy

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so my style is integrated and personalized to your unique needs. I combine evidence-based techniques, such as ACT, CBT, DBT, MBCT, and mindfulness, with a warm, human-centered focus. My goal is to help you connect with your inner strength, find practical solutions for the challenges you face, and move toward the life you want to live.

What you can expect from me

I work from a fundamental basis of "Shared pain is half pain, and shared joy is double joy." I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere in sessions to help the client feel at ease sharing their inner selves- free from the masks, maybe for the first time in their life. My office is a sanctuary to face your demons, to yell, scream, cry, sing, or laugh to cast them out and be transformed into the person you chose, not what anyone else says you are or should be. I empower the client to make the decisions necessary to attain the goals they set forth in therapy and in their life.
