Billye is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and received her Master's from New York University. She also holds a post-master's certificate in Clinical Practice from NYU; and a post-master's certificate in Trauma Studies from the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy. Billye specializes in trauma treatment focusing on survivors of child sexual abuse, sexual violence, intimate partner and family violence.
My approach is to take time to understand how trauma has impacted someone and work with them to develop an individualized plan. I believe in a holistic approach to healing that emphasizes self-care, mindfulness, and creating meaningful connections.
I seek to create an environment where clients are heard and supported and feel safe enough to share their stories. In our work together, I want my clients to process emotions and memories tied to traumatic experiences so they are alleviated from the distress they have experienced.
