Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Bisola Duyile, a licensed psychotherapist and counselor in Washington, DC and Virginia. I hold a PhD in counselor education and supervision, and I’m also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.

I work with adults and couples, particularly those navigating trauma, relationship conflict, disability-related concerns, stress, or life transitions. I have experience supporting clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves or others. I approach therapy with a deep respect for your lived experiences, especially if you come from a community that’s been underserved or overlooked.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered, evidence-based, practical, and rooted in choice theory and reality therapy. I help you identify what’s within your control, what matters most to you, and what steps you can take toward those values. I also integrate trauma-informed and culturally responsive strategies, and I aim to create a space where you can be honest without feeling judged.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients often leave sessions with clarity, realistic tools, and a better understanding of their patterns. We focus on identifying meaningful goals and exploring the emotional and relational roadblocks that may be in the way. You can expect a mix of reflective work and actionable steps, always grounded in what feels right for you.
