Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling, with a double-emphasis in both Community Counseling and Higher Education Counseling. I work with the adult population experiencing: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship/family issues, unhealthy coping mechanisms, grief, adjustment, educational challenges, and occupational concerns. I am honored to support others, and truly enjoy seeing people become more aware, resilient, and positive on their journeys toward self-discovery.

My approach to therapy

My approach is primarily cognitive, solution-focused, and holistic. These therapies help people to: recognize and change unhealthy thinking patterns by moving away from self-doubt and self-sabotage toward self-confidence and self-awareness, focus on the present by shifting from a mindset of feeling stuck in the past to becoming a narrator for future positive change, and improve deficits in self-care and self-preservation.

Ultimately, if someone were to ask me, "If you could do just one thing to help your clients, what would it be?" My answer would be, "To help people live their most authentic lives possible."

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can produce a wide array of emotions- from excitement to actual fear. My primary goal is to provide a safe, confidential, comfortable, and judgment-free space. During our first session we will learn a bit about each other, talk about what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, and answer any questions you may have. I strive to create a warm and supportive environment, and because I also enjoy humor, chances are we might share a few laughs along the way! I look forward to working with you.
