Great to meet you!

Beginning my counseling practice in February 2020, I worked with children ages 3 to 17 alongside families during a very difficult and strange period of time. Since then, I have developed a love for working with families struggling with trauma, behavioral difficulties, and relationship and communication barriers. I specialized in Brief Strategic Family Therapy, and Trauma informed Cognitive Behavioral therapy. During my time working with families, I have gone through rigourous training to become lifetime certified in Brief Strategic Family therapy. this means that I went through 3 years of training and supervision to ensure that I am effective in providing the best family therapy service I can. I love working with families because I believe that families are the foundation to a healthy future for our children, and I believe that if we can build healthy children leads to healthy adults.

My approach to therapy

With Families, I practice Brief Strategic Family Therapy, an evidence based family therapy model that specializes in helping families reconnect in a direct, brief and straight to the point method that values every minute of therapy. Brief Strategic Family Therapy is evidence based, practical, and trauma informed.

With Individuals, and adults, while my firm believe is in the power of families, I practice Cognitive behavioral therapy through a trauma informed lens. I focus on working with you on finding practical ways to find ways to take charge of the ways that we think, so that we can take charge of our lives. This focus on empowerment, and being able to further take control of our lives seeps through in all approaches that I use.

What you can expect from me

During family therapy, my focus will be on identifying the ways that each individual family member interacts with the others, and for me to begin building trust and understanding of the families unique circumstances. I will then develop an evidence based treatment plan to continuously assist the family with breaking through barriers to effective co-existence and helping parents to become empowered to use their skills and strengths to help the family in unique ways.
