Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 30 years of experience providing mental health care across outpatient, community, and rehabilitative settings. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care for adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, behavioral concerns, and more complex psychiatric conditions. I earned my medical degree from Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn and completed an internship in internal medicine and pediatrics before completing my psychiatry residency at Temple University Hospital. I subsequently completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. I am board certified in both general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.

My approach to therapy

I believe effective psychiatric care begins with taking the time to understand the whole person, not simply a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and individualized. I listen carefully to each patient's concerns, history, and treatment goals and work together with them to develop a plan that fits their needs. When medication is appropriate, I focus on finding the most effective treatment while carefully considering side effects, overall health, and quality of life. My goal is for patients and families to feel heard, respected, and actively involved in treatment while providing the clinical expertise and continuity of care needed to achieve meaningful, lasting improvement.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will take the time to understand what brings you to treatment, the challenges you are experiencing, your medical and psychiatric history, and what you hope to achieve. My approach is practical and solution-focused. Drawing on more than 30 years of psychiatric experience, I will work with you to identify the most important issues and begin developing a clear, individualized treatment plan rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we will discuss appropriate treatment options, which may include medication, behavioral strategies, therapy recommendations, or coordination with other providers. My goal is for you to leave our first meeting feeling heard, with a better understanding of your concerns and a clear plan for moving forward.
