Great to meet you!

My name is Boisey Bristo, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my master’s degree in clinical psychology with a focus on counseling from Walden University in 2015. I’ve worked in various settings, including IOP, PHP, inpatient care, and a comprehensive neurorehabilitation clinic. I believe therapy is about building relationships, not just following theories. As your therapist, I’m dedicated to meeting you where you are and creating a safe and empowering therapeutic connection.

My approach to therapy

Alongside my license, I’m a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, Certified Brain Injury Specialist, and Somatic EMDR Practitioner. I enjoy incorporating mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and person-centered strategies into my counseling approach. I view myself as a partner in the therapeutic process, guided by the principle that "life is meant to be experienced, not controlled."

What you can expect from me

My goal is to encourage reflection and foster self-awareness in every session. Goals and outcomes will be tailored to the individual and their current needs.
