Great to meet you!

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. With more than 16 years of experience as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide a supportive, compassionate space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

I work with adults and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of difficult or traumatic experiences. My goal is to help you move beyond simply managing symptoms and toward building a life that feels more balanced, connected, and fulfilling.

I believe that healing happens within a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and authenticity. Together, we'll explore what's holding you back, identify your strengths, and develop practical tools that help you move forward with greater confidence and resilience. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support and guide you throughout the process.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I recognize that every individual's experiences are different, which is why I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all method.

Depending on your needs, I may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, somatic interventions, narrative therapy, mindfulness practices, and psychoeducation. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be contributing to distress, develop effective coping strategies, and explore deeper experiences that influence how you relate to yourself and others.

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can openly explore challenges, gain insight, build resilience, and develop lasting tools for growth. My goal is not only to help reduce symptoms but also to help you create meaningful, sustainable change that extends beyond our sessions.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, your personal history, and what you hope to achieve through our work together.

I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I focus on creating a welcoming and comfortable environment where you can share at your own pace. There is no expectation that you have everything figured out before you arrive. My role is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help clarify what you want from therapy.

By the end of our first session, we'll begin identifying priorities, discussing goals, and creating a path forward that feels realistic and aligned with your needs. My hope is that you'll leave feeling heard, supported, and encouraged by the possibilities ahead.
