Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-D) and a graduate of Pace University. As a career changer, I bring a wealth of life experience to my work, which adds depth, perspective, and understanding to my approach.

I have extensive experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as individuals navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, and OCD. I also enjoy working with creatives and understand the unique experiences and challenges that can come with a creative life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered and collaborative. I believe you are the best expert on your own lived experience, and I see therapy as a partnership where we work together to identify what feels most meaningful and helpful for you.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, strengths-based therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I tailor these approaches to each person rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

And, when appropriate, I believe humor can go a long way. Therapy can involve difficult and meaningful work, but that doesn't mean there can't also be moments of laughter along the way.

What you can expect from me

I have an easygoing, warm manner and prioritize building rapport and creating a comfortable, supportive space. In our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to gain from the experience. We’ll also explore what is currently working well for you, as well as areas where you may be feeling stuck or would like to see change.

From there, we’ll work collaboratively to identify your goals and develop a treatment plan that feels realistic, meaningful, and tailored to you. My goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and like an active partner in the therapeutic process.
