Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Bonnie Yoo. As a therapist for 14 years, I believe everyone deserves a safe and open environment to feel heard and supported through life’s ups and downs. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you can breathe, slow down and come just as you are. Whether you’re feeling weighed down by stress, healing from past experiences, navigating big life changes in health or work, such as a cancer diagnosis, caring for a loved one, or simply need a place to process your thoughts, I’m here to walk alongside you. Together, we’ll sort through what feels heavy, uncover strengths and find practical ways forward that feel right for you.

My approach to therapy

I draw from techniques in CBT, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-focused, trauma-informed, and insight-oriented therapies, but always adapt my approach to fit your unique needs and goals. I specialize in evidenced based techniques to help address and manage stress, burnout, depression, anxiety, self-compassion.

I also have a specialization in working with women experiencing trauma, including breast and gynecological cancers and survivorship after treatment. Many people experience feelings of depression and anxiety even after completing treatment and could use additional care and practical tools. I'm here to offer you understanding and support.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to work on, and what feels most important right now. I’ll ask some questions to learn about your background and goals, but there’s no pressure; you can share at your own pace. It’s also a chance for you to get a feel for me and see if we’re a good fit to work together. By the end, we’ll start to outline a direction for our work so you leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
