Great to meet you!

I believe every person carries more strength than they realize, and my work is about helping you find and build on yours. I am a licensed professional counselor with advanced training in trauma, EMDR, and expressive arts therapy, and I bring a warm, holistic approach to supporting people through anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, and I have worked with adults across a wide range of life experiences. I serve clients throughout Virginia via telehealth and am especially passionate about creating a space where people from all backgrounds feel fully seen and understood. If you are ready to get started, I would love to connect.

My approach to therapy

In our sessions, I draw on a range of approaches to meet you where you are. For trauma and PTSD, I use EMDR, a structured method that helps your nervous system process difficult memories without having to relive them in full detail. I also draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to surface the thought patterns keeping you stuck, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to build flexibility around difficult emotions, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy to identify what is already working and build on it. When it feels right, I also bring in creative and expressive arts to help clients access what words alone sometimes cannot reach. Sessions will feel collaborative, grounded, and always at your pace.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and make sure we are a good fit. We will spend time exploring what's bringing you in, what you are hoping to change, and what support has or has not worked for you in the past. For me, genuineness and empathy are the cornerstones of a therapeutic relationship. My goal is to provide a culturally sensitive, safe, and non-judgmental environment that cultivates growth. I invite you to schedule with me if you would like to know more. Let’s work together to uncover your full potential.
