Great to meet you!

I’m a seasoned clinician who believes effective therapy is built on partnership, authenticity, and mutual respect. I offer one-on-one therapy for adults in a relaxed, conversational style that’s free of judgment—so you can bring your whole self to the work. Together we’ll explore how past experiences and vulnerable parts of your story may be shaping current patterns, moving at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

After nearly 15 years in community mental health, I specialize in addiction (all forms), trauma, serious mental illness (including schizophrenia), disability-related concerns, anger, and issues affecting men. I’m certified in EMDR and trained in Parts Work, the neuroscience of addiction, CBT, and DBT, among other modalities. I’ll collaborate with you to select the approaches that best fit your goals and preferences.

My approach to therapy

My approach is practical and strengths-focused: sometimes simply acknowledging difficult experiences — and even appreciating the survival strategies you’ve developed — reveals resources you already have to create meaningful change. I tailor evidence-based methods to each person’s needs and values, whether your orientation is spiritual or secular.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be getting to know each other and discuss what you are hoping to get out of therapy. There is no wrong answer and you set the pace you feel comfortable with in meeting your goals. I am affirming to your needs and also solution focused to recognize your strengths. Therapy should be the one space where you can be yourself, why you feel the way you do, and I provide a fairly relaxed approach to meet you where you are.
