Great to meet you!

I’m Mike, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with over a decade of experience supporting people in recovery. I’m also a U.S. Army veteran, and that part of my story shapes how I show up in this work. I understand what it’s like to carry things you didn’t ask to carry.

Whether you’re a veteran, a service member, or someone navigating life’s challenges, you don’t have to have it all figured out to start. My goal is to meet you where you are and create a space where you can feel understood, supported, and respected.

My approach to therapy

I take a person-centered approach, which means you set the pace and we focus on what matters most to you. I’m not here to tell you who to be. I’m here to help you better understand yourself and move toward the life you want.

I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based tools to help you identify patterns, shift unhelpful beliefs, and build practical coping strategies. My style is collaborative and straightforward. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer tools you can actually use, and challenge you when it supports your growth.

What you can expect from me

Expect to be welcomed, not evaluated. Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll focus on listening and understanding your story, what brought you in, and what you’re hoping for.

There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We’ll move at your pace. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer sense of your goals and what next steps could look like. I invite you to take the first step and book a free consultation when you are ready.
