Great to meet you!

Mainstream therapy was built for a narrow type of person and relationship. Mine isn't.

I have over six years of clinical experience working with individuals, romantic partnerships, and families. I specialize in faith crises, perfectionism, identity questions, sexual concerns, and non-traditional relationships — but what ties it all together is this: fewer faulty assumptions about what "healthy" is supposed to look like, and more curiosity about what actually works for you.

I think of it this way: people are like plants — a shade plant doesn't struggle in direct sunlight because it's broken, but because it's in the wrong conditions. My job is to help you figure out what kind of plant you are and build a life and relationships that fit.

I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist with additional formal research training. I've been in my own dark spots. That's part of why this work matters to me.

My approach to therapy

Before we can build the right conditions for you, you need to feel seen for who you genuinely are — not who your therapist, boss, partner, family, or religious leader thinks you should be. I co-developed Self-Determination Based Therapy to do exactly that: understand what you actually need to thrive, and what needs to happen to get there.

Self-Determination Based Therapy integrates decades of research across education, organizational behavior, and psychology into my customized approach. We will explore how to cultivate the right conditions for you to flourish using the best interventions from popular therapy models like ACT, CBT, IFS, and EFT. I meet you where you are at - whether you are religious, LGBTQ, kinky, or non-monogamous.

What you can expect from me

I approach people with curiosity, warmth, and compassion. Your first session is more conversation than intake form. I want to understand what brought you here, what you've already tried, and what actually working would look like for you. From there, we build a plan that fits who you are and where you want to be — rather than fitting you into a therapy cookie-cutter like other approaches.
