Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor in Texas and Pennsylvania. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work from Stephen F. Austin State University, This has equipped me with a solid foundation to understand and guide my clients through life's challenges. I have worked in hospice, inpatient and intensive outpatient programs, in skilled nursing facilities providing individual counseling to residents, and in private practice.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to address issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, and life transitions. My goal is to equip you with valuable tools—like relaxation techniques, coping skills, effective boundary-setting, and anger management strategies—that empower you on your journey toward a fulfilling life. I am dedicated to creating a warm, open, and safe environment where clients can share their thoughts and feelings without judgment, fostering a genuine partnership in their personal growth. Remember, you are the hero of your own story, and I am here to help illuminate your path.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time reading the Bible and other nonfiction books, listening to podcasts, spending time with my family and friends, nurturing my love of music as a former vocalist and instrumentalist, watching movies, spending time in nature, writing, and learning about history.

I believe in your potential and am honored to walk alongside you as you explore, heal, and thrive.

My approach to therapy

I work with clients to uncover the roots of their current stressors and to learn how to give themselves the grace to learn and grow. As a Therapist, I am compassionate but I am also direct when I need to be. I try to create a safe environment for my clients to learn about themselves and learn to change the negative thoughts that led to them being depressed or anxious.

What you can expect from me

In my first sessions with clients, I get the assessment phase down. This process might take a couple of sessions to gather information from the client. Then, we establish what goals the client has for therapy. As sessions go on, just remember that you did not get here overnight and you will not change overnight. It is a process. As a therapist I do not “fix” you. I help you recognize what changes you’d like to make and I give you the tools to implement them.
